Pierre Jouan graduated as an Architect (University of Liège, 2013) and holds an advanced Master’s degree in Conservation of Monuments and Sites (KU Leuven, 2016). Throughout diverse international research experiences (in 2015 at Carleton University, Canada in the Carleton Immersive Media Studio and in 2016 at the University of Cuenca, Ecuador as part of the VLirCPM project), he specialized in the digitalization and documentation of Architectural Heritage taking advantage on 3D data acquisition and modelling technologies. In 2018, he started a doctoral research at the University of Liège, under the supervision of Prof. Pierre Hallot. His research focuses on the structuration of Heritage Information and their integration in reality-based 3D models as well as on the relationships between the digital replica and the physical realm, to ensure the usability and longevity of such data models along the conservation process. Pierre is also teaching assistant at the Faculty of Architecture of ULiège, mostly for courses related to the documentation of Architectural Heritage.
